SUGAMYA PUSTAKALAYA ONLINE LIBRARY (Visually impaired/ print disabled)

 Sugamya Pustakalaya Online is a facilitating platform for producers of special content to jointly work in producing and providing such books to people with print disabilities. This online library has been created by DAISY Forum of India (DFI). It is poised to become the largest collection of books in accessible formats. A one-stop resource for the reading requirements of all those persons who due to blindness, weak eyesight or any other disability cannot read the standard print.SOL has subscribed for associate membership of Sugamya Pustakalaya of DFI.

 

SCOPE/ CONTENT

          Users can access a collection of over 2, 30,000 books, maintain their individual reading shelves online and also download books in chosen formats. These books are in different languages integrating libraries across Indian and Globe, constituting Sugamya as the largest international library for visually impaired.

SOL Library

The SOL library is a knowledge resources centre with print and digital resources related to the disciplines of the courses of SOL. It is situated in the hub of SOL campus established as a small library in 1962. This library was shifted to the new building in August 1991.
